Established in the Northern Ireland Fuel Poverty Coalition of members brings together a breadth of organisations and individuals across the voluntary, statutory, business and private sectors. All are united by the fact that they wish to highlight the urgent action needed to eradicate fuel poverty in Northern Ireland.

Therefore the New Fuel Poverty Strategy for Northern Ireland states very clearly that DSD shall work to eradicate fuel poverty. Fuel poverty will only ever be eradicated in Northern Ireland if a focused and single-minded strategy is put in place to deal with it.
